2nd Manifesto promise broken

Seems the 'nasty party''s manifesto was a whole tissue of lies. The scumbags have dumped (very quietly) another of their manifesto promises. Is anything they say and promise factual or like smoke and mirrors a figment of their imagination.

Do any parties actually keep their promises ? I've never seen one do it.

Jo nothing changes. It's all a smoke screen to fool the electorate. Very little we can do other than vote but promises are broken. Look at Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton scandal. He must have spent millions of dollars to out her. All because he is a mysoganist and frightened to be defeated by a women.

If you remember he hounded and still does Selena Scott. Why? Because she had an opinion.

Hi

Nothing worse than a broken Manifesto UJ, except when World Circumstances Change.

Then the reality kicks in.

Unfortunately UJ, your Socialist Heroes, Venezuela, are a basket case.

Killing thousands of their own.

It is a nonsense.

Please change your tired, hackneyed record!!! - its only you who continues to think that I'm in support of Venezuela' s policies.

In fact there is a far more apt state, a place that I have actually visited - Kerala - which has not a 'Socialist' b ut 'Communist' government!!!

Then he should just come out and say that "project fear" were right and that we will have to pay higher taxes and face greater austerity after all. The elephant in the room is that the Government is now terrified.

Hi

Sorry Annie, I do not get that logic at all.

Before we voted for Brexit we were living far beyond our means.

Cuts were necessary, but also Taxation increases were necessary.

Paying interest of £41 Billion a year is a waste of money.

The World Economy has shrunk, we can do nothing about it, so have to take the hit, irrespective of Brexit.

Brexit may be good or bad for the UK.

That is irrelevant, the fact remains that we are in serious debt to others.

They will determine our Interest Rates, not us.

The less we owe, the more Independent we are.

But having made that promise in their 'manifesto' the scumbag 'nasty party' didn't have the guts to admit (a) they got it wrong, (b) that they would have to change that policy.

Affluent countries can and do live beyond their means in a period of long term growth, it's a fine balance. It's only a problem when you hit recession or when you decide to cut yourself off from the generation of a large chunk of your income and growth by leaving a trading block cold or make the terms of trade very difficult or uncertain.

Anyway all our economic problems will be solved (and new social ones created) by the march of the robots!
