If you don't like the traditional sprout, then try a 'Petit Posy' type - a sort of sprout/kale hybrid .
Never heard of them will look out for them. Sound nice !

I love sprouts and I always buy a couple of sprout trees to see us over the Christmas period No wind in our house either!

The vegetable that I dislike the most is cauliflower .... yuk!

The brussel sprouts i had at my christmas dinner at Castle Howard were so hard when my friend tried to stick his fork in ,,it shot off his plate and nearly landed on mine ,it took me all my time to keep a straight face as he recovered it from side of my plate .

They are also nice shredded and rapidly cooked in a knob of butter and couple of tablespoons of boiling water until the water evaporates then add black pepper.
I've heard that their flavour isn't so pungent (if that's the right word) if they're eaten raw - same as I can eat raw carrots till they come out of my ears but I won't eat cooked ones).

Re: Pure Evil

I've just received a joke about sprouts! Would you believe it - anyway, I don't see why I should be the only one to groan at a corny joke so I thought I'd share it:

Why was the brussel sprout sent to prison?

Because it was a repeat offender .....
