The UK has usually been part the most powerful block in any deal. Britain is just in the process of finding out what it’s like to be the weaker party.
What was never true for the UK is true for the EU: No deal is better than a bad deal.

We get the least benefit from the single market.

Yes, and the report you get that from also gives the reason for that. Even after 45 years you failed to integrate. Integrate= adapting. See there the why. Adapting, changing is something abhorrent to brits.

No it's because most of our trade is services and nothing to do with the single market.

Doesn't sound like it. Have you seen the balance of trade between the EU and the UK ?

Read my posts properly this is about the third time IIve explained this to you.
