Making do.

The greenhouse is full, the grow house is full, the veg raised beds are too.
I didn't have time to get my old bed taken to the tip before it closed. I've used one of the drawers and the plastic covering from my new bed to make a cold frame! No screws or nails, just drawing pins.

At this rate I'll be stripping the bed base and covering that with plastic too!

My little garden will be overflowing with flowers come summer!

Anyone else being inventive?

Tess, it took me ages to make sense of your post, I thought you were talking about your flower bed being taken to the tip. I couldn't work out why a flower bed would go to the tip.

Then I realised you were talking 'bed' as in a sleeping bed.

I'm slow.

Well done BTW!

Not being able to buy any mulch for the beds this year, I suddenly remembered the bag of leaf mould I collected last year. It was nicely rotted and went surprisingly far. looks good too.

I am surprised the stuff I collected this winter still looks like oak leaves !
But I managed to get three bags from Tesco toda so will plant up everything.

Well done!

I've just run out of compost.

I'd better have a look at the heap.

Apparently if I ring first thing tomorrow I might get some delivered, I need bark too.

I planted some ornamental gourd seeds, they're growing like Trifids, I think I might run out of space in the garden.
