Re: Booked a Christmas break!

I won't be going away at Christmas but will NOT be accepting any of the invitations that will be offered. I will politely decline and will spend the ruddy "Festive Season" ripping my bathroom to pieces

It's with Super Breaks.

Shearings had no coach tours available, and I didn't bother checking their hotels for availability.

Re: Booked a Christmas break!

Enjoy Jazzi. We used to go away every Christmas. We've spent Christmas in some lovely, and some odd, places. It saved all the hassle of where my son and his wife were spending Christmas, her parents or his, it saved having to go to the various relatives and then inviting them back. Going away made it easy and didn't put anyone under feeling obligated. I'm sure you'll have a lovely time.

Thanks Loretta.

I looked at going abroad, or on a cruise, but they were very expensive. I didn't think this was too bad.

Re: Booked a Christmas break!

Good plan Jan, when we were regular visitors to Dorset visiting Rosemary's brother, we always spent New Year's day at Studland, but the whole of that coast is a delight. Enjoy.

Re: Booked a Christmas break!

Thanks Barry.

I've just checked the date and realised, yesterday I was hoping to receive a notification from the council that I was successful in the Seniors Christmas Meal! Obviously not this time, then. I only became eligible this year when they raised the age from 60 (when I had that disastrous evening with those two ladies), to 65! It was by ballot.

Oh well, let's try next year.
