Spinner darlin' - there is a very good French wine - I love it - its called Gewutztraminer - lovely crisp taste to it. Try some.

I find Supermarket wines either very vinegary( Red ) or very water like, (White ) unless you buy the more expensive well known wines. I really much prefer a nice Malt or Cognac.

I have to confess, when I checked, the wine with the cork I was drinking wasn't a rioja at all, it was a Negroamaro a red wine from Italy.
It was £4.89 a bottle, and rather good.
