Parliament agrees????
BUT needs more time to consider???
What moron would agree something they had'nt considered???
Especially after nearly 3yrs of considering nothing but what they
have just agreed with???
BObviously the answer is POSHOC!!!!

Re: Parliament agrees with deal????

I am afraid those brave Labour voters who voted for the second reading got cold feet when it came to voting through the timetable motion..

Even if the government proceeds to the committee stage with the bill it will almost certainly be held up by amendments from Remainer MPs. Those amendments if passed would require the Prime Minister to accept an extension and to return to Brussels to renegotiate the deal.

So Election here we come, if the polls are anything to go by the Tories will win a good majority. If they do , a vote of the existing deal or no deal could be put to the house and no deal could win.

Those “morons” as you call them are otherwise known as leavers or Brexiteers and and a small but influential number are members of the ERG plus a handful of the Labour Party who are desperate to keep their jobs no matter that their constituents may lose theirs

It could have been Bazza, it may be the Remain MPs now get their just deserts for failing to carry through their manifesto and article 50 promises.

I think you are a little optimistic Meg, what happened to the threat
of another referendum, this would suit MPs as it poses no danger
to them of any constituency revenge?
Or can Boris actually cause a GE?

DM Labour promised a General Election once an extension was granted by the EU, an extension will now reluctantly be granted, the EU won't want to be responsible for a no deal on October 31st.

The SNP want an election, they have nothing to lose nither do the 40+ MPs who are standing down.
A referendum doesn't now enter the equation neither does a confirmatory vote.

Morons none the less Banchory, my questions regarding their
Logic in first agreeing something and then saying they need time
to consider what they just agreed is illogical??
Either the system or their brains are at fault? probably both!!

Re: Parliament agrees with deal????

This from Kunessberg...

No 10 said earlier they would push for election IF MPs rejected the timetable AND EU said delay until end of Jan - that looks likely now, altho a lot of Tory MPs and some ministers hoping No 10 would wear a shorter extension just to get the bill through - doesn't sound like it
Tusk is recommending a delay till January.
