Re: I hate dressing up

Never dress up, unless I have to, and then its smart trousers and jacket. Live in sweatshirts/t-shirts and joggers. Don't possess any dresses/skirts either. Don't have any make-up whatsoever, never used it-just moisturiser!

One of my Nieces is getting married in November and my Sister says she will take me shopping for something suitable to wear. She can come with me, but she won't get me into anything that she likes!!!!!

Re: I hate dressing up

I know Merz, I had to go to a wedding this year and wore trousers, jacket and a pretty top and heels. As soon as I got home I was out of it all, first thing, even before the kettle went on!

That's what I'll be buying Maryl except for the pretty top-it will be something plain and simple! No heels-can't walk in them!

Re: I hate dressing up

I am happiest in my tee-shirts and trousers (or a loose skirt) - no tights and wherever possible sandals. Odd thing is though I always feel the need to have my eye make-up on. I will do without everything else, but I must have my eyes on before I can meet the world.

Re: I hate dressing up

I'm with Aerolor on eye makeup, other than that I too hate dressing up; live in jeans/shorts/sweatpants, tees, tanktops or sweatshirts depending on the weather. Haven't worn heels since I retired: trainers can't be beat for comfort. If I have to go to a formal occasion, resurrect a nice pants suit and blouse from working days.
