This is a "don't knock it till you try it" number but!..Try Vegemite..or yes Marmite if you must..with honey mixed in. NOw that is the bomb

Anything between 3 and 7. I don't like the Asian thing of #1 and I have never heard of only toasting one side.

I am still of the opinion that fresh bread is better untoasted and toasting is really just to rescue stale bread.

However I do have two gadgets that get more use than my toaster. One is a sandwich toaster. ie You make a sandwich then toast the outside between two flat hotplates.



The other is a sandwich maker which compresses and cuts the sandwich

No4 -done in the toaster. No butter/marge, but Ppiping hot and spread with low sugar marmalade with bits.

Wholemeal done both sides until it looks about right. Not sure what number that is. Can you get toasters that only do one side? I'd have use the grill on the cooker if I wanted to do that.
