Mass Protests
Mass protests worldwide. Some for the most ridiculous reasons that trigger more violent protests and then get out of hand. Others of a far more serious nature, but they no longer seem to have any impact. Governments continue to ignore the people , many are dictatorships, but also democracies.
Do you think they are democracies gone bad, or are 'people' now beginning to find a reason to protest about anything, or are they being whipped up by outside forces ?
It may be a bit of everything, but with so much unrest in the world and connectivity, it seems at times as if the whole world is defending itself against bureaucracy . Is this what 'globalisation' brings ?
In the last month:
Hong Kong, Catalonia, France, Cairo, Moscow, Jakarta, Lebanon, Chile, Jerusalem, Ecuador, Netherlands (farmers) Peru, Haiti, Iraq, plus more.
So many more places that seem to have faded into the background, such as Venezuela which still has the crisis . The African countries we never hear mentioned, but it happens.
People generally protest to get the worlds attention, but it would seem the world is now turning it's back on everyone else's problems apart from their own.
The UN is almost bankrupt and apparently can't afford to pay their 41,000 staff this month ! (Royals are far better value
)
