Blood tests ok

Just been to the doctor for my blood test results, all normal, but he recommended monitoring my blood pressure over the next few weeks, so I’ll get one of these home monitors, it’s a little high but nothing to worry about, but if it doesn’t come down he’s talking about starting blood tablets
Have not been to work today as I’ve got the lurgies, not going tomorrow either...

Good news that your blood test was normal, Primus.

Hope you soon recover from your lurgy.

Re: Blood tests ok

Hi Primus it's good your blood test is ok.
I have an Omron BP monitor similar to the one my GP uses, it was only around £20 , I have to keep a check on my BP which was very hight at one stage.

I also take medication to help lower my BP it's no big deal.

Look at it this way, the fact that your suspect BP has been noted and is being monitored is a good thing and may save you from developing a serious health condition or worse.

I have the same blood pressure monitor Primus as I am on BP tablets ..... it's good that you take your own BP in relaxed conditions - mine always goes up when I visit the GP.
