If you haven't seen Mary poppins - you gotta watch it Loved that when I was a child

I haven't see all the others, but have seen:

Pirates of the Caribbean - worth a watch!
Chicken Run - excellent fun!
Billy Elliot - another great British Movie we can be proud of! (never seen it until last night! - I know I'm late it's been out for years and was very hyped - just never got round to it )

Re: Some good films on BBC iPlayer

I watched Mary Poppins all through the other afternoon. It is a lovely film. Wonder what those children are doing now?

The Good Shepherd - scarey as hell. It's said to be based on truth. Very good film but .... be very afraid

Bull Durham - one of my favourite sports-based movies, thoug a little dated now

Chicken Run - good fun

Edit - It hadn't dawned on me that there were films on iPlayer. I have watched programmes I've missed but never films

Everyone do watch Eight Below it is a really excellent film. Agree with you about Billy Elliot when the Brits do it good they really do it good. Pirates of the Caribbean both of these I enjoyed but maybe I am easily pleased.

Re: Some good films on BBC iPlayer

I`ve just watched La Vie en Rose, which was merde, and Moliere which was merveilleux. I can`t stand the plays of Moliere, having been forced to `do` them at school, but the story of his early life in this film made me want to go back and re-read them . It`s a bit `Shakespeare in Love` - great fun .

I haven't watched Cinerella Man yet but I'm a big fan of BBC iPlayer - the best of the lot in my opinion which is one of the reasons I don't begrudge the Beeb one penny of the licence fee (althought they are teetering on the limit I have to say!)
