I love the property programmes but do wonder who pays for the accommodation/airfare etc in some of them.If is paid for by the TV company are some of these people just going for a subsidised holiday and not intending to buy a home at all.
Re en suite bathrooms, I don't need one at home living alone but find they are great when on holiday. They enable me to go to the loo in the night or have an early shower without disturbing the rest of the family or waking the children.

I love watching a place in the sun and escape to the continent. Do they check to see if you have the money to spend before they allow you on this programme. Because if not I want to go on it.It also annoys me when they say the kitchen is too small, cannot see enough of the sea, we want to down size, but still expect a huge property.
Or at the end of the programme the announcer will say once they returned home they decided to wait before moving as they are not sure it is the right time to move. aaahhhh wasters, annoys the ........ out of me.
My husband just laughs at me.

Always makes me smile when people say "ooh, what lovely sash windows!" My husband's terraced childhood home had sash windows and he said they're the most draughty, noisy and unreliable things ever. Funny how what was once considered awful enough to be replaced by modern alternatives are now seen as trendy. Same with comments about the "lovely high ceilings" - where all the heat gathers, away from the area you need it.13-07-2015, 03:18 PM
