True Detective

If you ever get the chance to watch this take it.

Series one is breathtaking. Some of the best acting I have seen for a while. The story line is riveting with the dialogue obviously written by a very intelligent and well read writer.

Had me gripped from the first episode and the ending wasn't at all disappointing - far from it.

I can only speak for series one though. Unusually each series stands alone with a different story-line and different actors.

Magnificent performances from both actors but especially Matthew McConaughey.

I tried watching first episode of series one some time ago. Didn't appeal to me.
