"Some Assembly Required"

Don't you just hate it when something you've ordered comes and there was no indication that this was required?

My new electric cooker just arrived and I'm sitting here looking at the parts and the diagram and wondering where my Phillips head screwdriver is!!! I am NOT a DIY person, bah, humbug!!!

Oh dear! Pity the people who delivered it didn't fix it up for you. They do that here - well some places do! Hope you get it all assembled and up and running soon.

Take care.

Oh it came by UPS, it's a Presto Electric Kettle, ordered on line. I daresay after dinner I'll manage to get it together with a lot of muttering and bad words.....

Good job we won't be able to hear you Dandysmom

Am sure you'll succeed-good luck! Am taking it that it is the kettle and not your cooker you're putting together as you mentioned in your first post? If its your cooker, there will be a lot of bad, bad words!!!!!

Oh I do have one, Azz, ....... somewhere! Not something I use frequently. All the feet and handles have to be attached!

And yes, I have a fairly extensive vocabulary of bad words, Mags, which I'll probably use.... I can swear in Spanish and German too .....

DM, buy one of the screwdriver kits in a case, around £24, from Aldi or B7Q and keep it in the same place all of the time.Mine sits beside my computer, well I am always tinkling with it adding new things.

Re: "Some Assembly Required"

Reading your original post i thought strange!! I have never had to assemble a new cooker except for putting the metal shelves etc in but i do fit my own electric cookers,

Then i saw the pic of the thing and i thought, That's a strange thing to call a kettle!! To me a kettle is a kettle and that doesn't look like one,

I think your first description of a cooker was more apt!! Anyway good luck with it i am sure you will get there in the end!!

Most DIY stuff i can do but the thing i have trouble with sometimes is Flat Pack Furniture, It is so annoying when they just give you assembly pics and not a full description in English but i guess that is so they can sell the item in different countries without having to provide instructions in several languages!

Re: "Some Assembly Required"

Hi dandysmom, Why not return it and ask the Company to REPAIR and return it, as it seems to have come apart!!
