Fake Tan Ban

A Cumbrian school has banned Fake Tan, some agree others think it helps with body confidence.

Tell his pupils to get out in the sunshine instead of sitting indoors playing computer games and tapping away on Instagram and Fakebook.

Lets remember spending too long sunbathing can lead to skin cancer !

I dont think a bit of fake tan should be banned.

Its a different day & age, we cant go back in time,

Maybe we should embrace and compromise and try to

understand the ever changing youth of today !

Good post, Lorna and the use of sunbeds is risky. Young girls feel they need to have a certain look.

Re: Fake Tan Ban

Fake tan stinks
That smell will always be with me.

Miss Madam went through a phase in her early 20s. She's very pale skinned and blonde. Studied and worked quite a bit abroad and decided she looked and felt better with the gentle colour she'd acquired from being outside.
Came home bought the fake tan to keep the colour. Yuk and double yuk. Cue messy sheets and towels.

Best thing she ever did was bin it and be natural again .

There's nothing wrong with pale skin after all.

Used to be considered an attribute. Fake pale in Elizabethan times.

Natural beauty is something they should embrace, but banning it's use makes no sense.

I agree LD,

However the youngsters feel better with a bit of fake tan....no harm in it, (Other than the chemicals of course !)

Which is far far safer than lengthy time in the sun or sun beds !

Dark sheets or pyjamas sorts the staining, or just buy the more expensive stuff.

Where did I mention sunbathing?!
Just walking around in the sun naturally will produce a healthy glow. It is essential to get some sunlight on your skin. Common sense.
I do not encourage anybody to use a sunbed.
