63 up

Anyone watching?

https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2...michael-apted/

A continuing documentary about a group of kids first filmed in 1964 with updates every 7 years. It is based on the saying “Give me a child until he is seven and I will give you the man.''

The first episode was on last night, the second, tonight.

Interesting viewing.

I saw it! I always wish they had done the same with a group of the girls I went to school with.... now that would be very interesting!

Yes, watched every series and have been wondering when the next one was due. I'm just annoyed they are on consecutive nights, as I am struggling to watch everything ATM.

There was a programme on Monday night too with celebrities giving their thoughts on their own childhood as well as watching the kids as they grew up, worth watching too.

Re: 63 up

I have watched it from the very beginning. It's a fascinating series, catching up with the people concerned, every 7 years. Some stories of real heartbreak and tears, and uplifting ones. For myself, I'd have mixed feelings about being involved in it, as tells your story, warts and all. I'm just off to watch tonight's offering.

Yes it was very sad and also sad to hear that Lynne had died within the past seven years. I think there is always something really sad about seeing people as children, full of life, then knowing that they have gone.

Yes, that also was very sad, she was a good woman taken too soon.

Re: 63 up

The overall message I got from the series is that people are the same as when they were a seven year old but it seems to happen later in life, when they find themselves or accept life for what it is.
