There are lots of ants 🐜 in my garden but the woodpeckers love them.

The ‘ant’ appeared as l typed the word. It looked very real, so that’s why, l added him and his mates here..

I love the way ants just get on with things...they are not so easily side tracked....they are on a mission....doesn't surprise me if it's true the workers which are the ones we see are mainly female

It's the same with bees....... all the worker bees are female. The drones just stay in the hive, mating with the queen.

Here's an interesting little factoid about worker bees.......

"Bees are neat freaks and because it is the worker bees' job to clean the hive, they will remove themselves from the hive before they die so the other bees can get on with their job."

Aw, bless! They even die tidily!
