Re: When youth of today grows old
I'll only speak for Australian youth but I find most of the ones I meet are bright, articulate, optimistic, industrious and hopeful for a bright future. And that's not just the advantaged ones either. Sure I've seen my son and his mates go through the computer gaming stage with World of Warcraft and stuff like that. But his friends at least were also into games like chess and GO as well as endless sport of varying codes. And books - real ones - with pages and binding :O I think they will have rich memories to look back on that we cannot even imagine. In the UK I met lots of great young people but I noticed that many are much more fatalistic and pessimistic about the future than those here, the US or New Zealand. Whatever happens I hope your youth can look back in fondness when they grow old. After all they are the only reason we are here. (IMO)Thread Tools | |
