I absolutely agree, Muddy! Quite why Nicola Sturgeon didn't actively ban them all from heading down south, I have no idea. Those scenes were shocking! And now they will likely bring whatever they have up here.

I think that might be part of the issue. Some of the people believe they are being controlled and have stopped accepting dictates from authority.

Go into any town centre and it all looks as if everything is back to normal.... so it’s just not the rich and titled, it’s the plebs too!

On the whole, things do seem pretty much to be following a new normal with a bit more space between people and mask wearing.

Think it's more the leisure and hospitality sector that is still bound to (try to abide by) the rules.

As for horse racing. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but many sporting events can (it can be argued) be intrinsically interesting to watch. The sole purpose of horse racing is gambling, which makes it (IMHO) questionable in terms of whether it should be broadcast on mainstream channels.

So this is acceptable but this isn’t..

Kids have missed out on so much this year, I feel so sorry for them. Can’t even have their own parents cheer them on at school yet strangers can meet up and act like this!
