Newspaper message boards.

What happened to newspaper message boards?
The Daily Mail's used to be really good but they're gone.

Does anybody know why?

Discussion forums same as here.

Every different section of the Daily Mail - News - Health - Relationships - Sport - cookery etc had it's own discussion forum (Message boards) for people to chat & communicate about the subject..

Re: Newspaper message boards.

I've also not heard of these, perhaps they are also known as bulletin boards where people can leave questions or comments. Unlike interactive internet forums anything left on a bulletin board can be answered by another person in their own time, possibly at a later date?

I did find the link below which may give the answer as described above:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulletin_board

Edited to add that this was posted before reading Carol's previous post.

Oh I see. Thanks

They must have been in the online version of the paper. I buy the proper printed version and haven't seen them.

Yes they were in the online version.
They even had a coffee shop for general chat & a section to talk about your pets.

Everything really - just like here.

I used to belong & posted regularly but then I drifted away.

Decided to go back & re-join the other day but found they are no more!!!

Yes I guess it's a shame when they remove certain features without even telling people.
It will be cut backs or maybe they needed even more space for an extra 16 consecutive pages for photos of the latest royal baby.
Or Brexit news...rather like what's happening on here in certain places!
