Yes l know Percy, but these are just vestiges of what used to be?
And many of them are run from farm sheds and micro workshops
by practically minded owner occupiers? I agree these people could
well form the backbone of a new formation of manufacturing here
in the UK, but from what l see and hear there is no real enthusiasm
from either the politicians or the general public to engage in a return
to what used to be! For instance if l suggest to some of my younger
relatives that their children should consider going into some sort
of practical training where they use their hands as welll as their
brains, then their eyes go blank and they change the subject??
All they talk of is getting to uni !!
Im afraid I am going through a pessimism phase at the moment and
