Re: Bozo verdict

The humiliation for the EU being told not to bother coming to the UK to discuss a deal unless they change their position.

That long embarrassing walk up downing Street by Barnier and his clowns will be hilarious to watch.

I can't wait.

Re: Bozo verdict

So what's new with Boris stating that the UK should get ready for No Deal? Sounds as though he is just using it as a get out excuse for the fact that once again the 14th October and then the 15th October were the talk or walk deadlines.

More and more waffle from Boris. Today, especially after the EU summit ended with the seriously deluded EU confirming that they are not prepared to change their stance over the laughable ownership of our fishing waters, subsidies and laws, should have concluded with a statement from Boris or Frost stating that there is no point in further talks. it's over! But no, in the next breath he is saying that he is still hopeful of a deal. You couldn't make it up! It may as well be Theresa May sitting in his chair.

That's okay Boris, you let them carry on pulling your chain by dragging the talks on, you plonker. Perhaps we will have the same success you have had with Covid and Ilegal immigrants. DUH!

It's not so bad as we will have your own independent trade policy and centralised treasury and taxation system.

Like Trumps fact then?

I really don’t see why you are so stressed out about the UK leaving ...when you say it doesn’t affect you

Remaining is history since 31 january 2020. Having a deal on relationships on trade, fishing, banking, security etc is what hangs in the balance.

The EU wants to be done with brexit, that's why they are not giving room to british demands.

Johnson has refused to walkaway from the negotiations. Lot's of hot air of course but his comments are clear - "what we're saying to them is come here, come to us, if there's some fundamental change of approach" - which means the UK is*not*walking away. And as Barnier is already scheduled to come to the UK next Monday, Johnson will doubtless use this to suggest there has been a change of approach.

In reality he has no choice and he knows it. The UK has been denuded and degraded by Brexit. Now less influential on the world stage and subject to the whims of all the remaining 27, the UK will always be outclassed in such negotiations. Bend over Boris!

It seems to me the EU would be well placed to call his bluff and let the UK experience a period on WTO terms. Experiencing the consequences - internal and external - is likely to be a positive experience in the long run.
