Oh dear, I gave it a swift "once-over" and as I expect from the Grauniad it has more bias within than most of the posters discussing Brexit in forums like this!

I will put it simply:
There exists a €90 billion per year surplus on one side of trade between the UK and the EU.
Which side does that exist upon?
How many more people (because it is people that this will affect) on the side of that surplus will suffer the consequences?

Here is how one EU member state will be affected.
There are 26 others.

That was 2019. In september 2020
My assessment is that a disorderly situation would have very significant consequences for the British economy; Europe would be in a position to deal with it, and there wouldn't be particularly severe consequences after the preparations we have already made," said Scholz.

Things haven't changed - or are you determined to ignore more-recent events altogether just to suit your pro-EU bias?

"A no-deal Brexit could cost "tens of thousands of jobs" in continental Europe and have "cascading" economic consequences, EU business federations have warned "
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-b1043678.html

That is from 3 days ago.

But don't worry, I'm sure all those thousands of redundant EU workers will not blame the EU one little bit for their failures in keeping them employed.

You read more than just the heading? A quote:

While the potential economic damage to the UK from a no-deal is thought to be significantly higher, EU businesses are also worried, with some sectors more exposed than others.

But the federations also urge EU leaders to preserve "the solidarity of the 27 and the regular functioning of the single market" – which Union negotiators have suggested British demands would undermine.

"Is thought to be"
Well no sugar Sherlock - a Europhile source mollifying the imact at home (the EU) by saying something like "never mind you have lost your job Hans, the British will suffer more. One day. Maybe."
That'll work a treat.

You're still making the typical EU mistake of trusting politicians - not people.

Your own nation will be heavilly affected - so many foodstuffs and plants at risk in such a small nation.
Again, no wonder you are concerned.

In dutch papers, like this one, brexit is at 30th place, out of 40. Sure, we are worried, but not about a trade deal with small islands.

These suggest that more Dutch are worried than you try to suggest.

(I know you're worried but please cease the insults. It does your stance no good whatsoever.)

Re: We have done Breait before.

Small islands are we Solly?

Populations:

The current population of the Netherlands is 17,146,089 as of October 17, 2020, based on Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data.

The current population of the UK is 67,993,927 as of October 17, 2020, based on Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data.

Wow. Something tells me that you're living in la-la land when you make your ridiculous assumptions. In any case, I've been doing some research into the products that are made and exported from The Netherlands and, basically, all I've managed to find are tulips, assorted other flowers, more tulips, and Edam cheese. Oh, and did I mention purple tulips?

Re: We have done Breait before.

We, the dutch, are part of the mighty EU, with 445 mln inhabitants.6 times as big as your island (in inhabitants). Geography is another matter entirely.
