Cheddar Gorge

Went down yesterday as I have never seen it.
Yes well quite impressive .
Had a nice walk .
Not impressed with the parking fees .
£5 all day
But what if you don’t want to stay all day?
So we didn’t .
Have already seen caves at Wooky hole just as well as caves in cheddar closed because of CV .
As Oscar Wilde would say
Worth seeing but not worth going to see.

Re: Cheddar Gorge

I did not .
I buy my cheddar from the supermarkets not rip off tourist spots .
There were lots of climbers up and down the gorge -fit young blokes ( not that I’m looking )

I wish I'd known you were coming, I'd have walked round the corner and hid behind a lampost and shouted, "Boo!"

I could've told you where to park cheaper.

Not outside my house though

Darn it!

In that case I would've let you park in my driveway!

I bet, but I do agree, how can they charge that much for bog standard mousetrap?

Re: Cheddar Gorge

During my regular drives down to Torpoint, Plymouth (every week for six months) I passed the signs for Cheddar Gorge and Wooky Hole but never got chance to visit them Muddy. I think a few days stay in Bristol might provide an opportunity, once this covid nonsense is out of the way...

I'm afraid you won't get me dangling on the end of a rope though....
