Let's Face It Ireland Got Screwed

John McGuirk writes an absolute banger here, about how Ireland has been screwed by the Commission in the new deal announced earlier this week.

Some interesting graphs here too showing the scale of who pays what and how much The UK avoided a whopping €140 billion Euro bill by the skin of its teeth (thanks Boris !)

Re: Let's Face It Ireland Got Screwed

The truth about Ireland in the modern era is that it has allowed much of its political and economic life to be recolonised, to be bent to the whims and needs of an external power – not Britain this time, but Brussels.

When the Irish public realise their government has backed the wrong horse expect heads will roll.

They've had the chance, when they rejected the Lisbon Treaty.

In Europe, yes means yes and no means: "We'll do it again later".'

When Ireland eventually decides that it wants to leave the EU, it can think again if it hopes to come back to us.

It must remain an independent country, not even an ally of ours. It has worked against us ever since its creation: during the Second World War and, more recently, as an EU member.

They are no friends of ours, unless of course they want something.

Absolutely agree. Ulster on the other hand is very different if the Power Sharing nonsense gets binned together with ALL of the Belfast Agreement of April 1988 (aka The Good Friday Agreement) that the traitorous Blair promoted.

That, and a bloody big wall between that part of the UK and the foreign power to the south.

Re: Let's Face It Ireland Got Screwed

Great article here by John McGuirk detailing just how bad this new EU deal is for the 27, especially Ireland.

Interesting data and graphs on who is paying in vs those that get the most out. The UK escaped this fiasco by the skin of its teeth thanks to the determination of Boris Johnson and the UK Government to make sure we left back in January.

Oh dear.

More EU-bashing rubbish by a Brexiteer "activist" from a tawdry "patriotic" website.

And it's Remainers Brexiteers have the audacity to call Remoaners!
