Seeing people out and about or on the school run (home time) wearing their works lanyards. Are they giving off some air of importance? Oooh, look at me, with my work ID round my neck!

This made me laugh out loud. I have to wear a lanyard for work and I'm certainly not an important person, just someone who has the wear a security thing because there are so many screwed up, nasty, dishonest people in the world.

I'm a mere admin clerk, no, I'm not posh or looking for attention, I just sometimes forget to take it off

Ah yes, I have seen people go by with those on, I thought it was so they didn't lose their keys.
