Re: Want To Or Struggling To Stop Smoking!
Congratulations on achieving two weeks without the dreaded weed Madmare. It must be getting out of your system now and, hopefully, you will soon see the benefits of stopping - apart from the one in your pocket. Keep it up, I'm sure you won''t regret it.Re: Want To Or Struggling To Stop Smoking!
Congratulations MM, you should feel very proud of yourself!Re: Want To Or Struggling To Stop Smoking!
Well done MM!Re: Want To Or Struggling To Stop Smoking!
One benefit (about the only one) of my fundamentalist Christian childhood was a detestation of smoking, which has stayed with me for life. No one is permitted to smoke within our home, fortunately none of my close family have ever smoked, nor have we any friends who smoke either. One of our daughters suffers from asthma so it was imperative no one smoked around her as a child.Re: Want To Or Struggling To Stop Smoking!
I'm very impressed MM as I have also been trying to give up for ages but to no avail. Like you I have absolutely no will power and always say 'tomorrow'. I have the Allan Carr book which came with CD's but have never read it so have just put it on the coffee table and will start tonight.Re: Want To Or Struggling To Stop Smoking!
Re: Want To Or Struggling To Stop Smoking!
I am always glad to hear of People who can give up smoking, to my way of thinking they are stronger than the person who never started in the first place. However, I am a complete addict and all my Family and friends have pleaded with me for years to give it up (including my two Grandsons),but to no avail, so now thankfully, they leave me in peace. I enjoy it too much and am fully prepared to accept the risks attached to smoking,'Be it on my own head' as they say. As for passive smoking, if all they say is true we would be all dead long ago, my Father and Mother puffed like trains when we were kids.
