All these shots were handheld with the exception of the single Puffin in image 5..............I used a monopod for that as the bird was perched some 100 yards away.

If image 3 confuses you, look at the birds feet and then work out what's happening with his head.

The Gannet has a wingspan of about two metres - that's 6'6" in real money.

I'm a regular visitor to Bempton Cliffs PooBear, not necessarily for the birds, but I'm usually passing through on my way to Brid on the coast path. I often stop for a while and observe the Puffins and Gannets, maybe take a few photos......But I've never seen anything as sharp and detailed as yours....Top Job....

When you look up and watch them flying it is difficult to gauge their size - but - when you stand next to one on a rock - they are HUGE and a little bit scary!
