Re: Planes Bikes and Automobiles

The Bomber build moves on, these bad boys arrived today, ordered a week ago yesterday from China, estimated delivery 19th-30th June, were at Charles De Gaulle Airport at 4.00pm yesterday. The front wheel to fit these is being hand built at a local wheel building company, will take about 5 weeks for completion.

Re: Planes Bikes and Automobiles

Ok Bomber Fans, had to wait four days for a piece of aluminium tube to arrive to act as a drift, in the first phot is the bottom bearing case sitting on a taper about 8mm from its home position, got the drift a perfect size not to damage the base, a couple of taps with the hammer and bingo.

Re: Planes Bikes and Automobiles

This is the rear brake disc fitted to the wheel, there is a shim fitted, but until the caliper is fitted on the frame, and the wheel offered up, won't know if this is required.

Top ball race is fitted, as you can see there is still about an inch of fork stem visible above the handlebar stem, I don't want to cut the fork stem so have ordered more spacers to take the difference up, then the threadless cap can be fitted and job done.

This is the brains of the Bomber, a Sabvoton Controller, might be calling on Foxy a bit later on.

Re: Planes Bikes and Automobiles

Rear wheel plonked in place, because the frame is designed to take a variety of wheels, the use of spacers is necessary, in this case 2 X m16, 8mm, this will center the wheel then the rear caliper mounting bracket will have to be shimmed out to line up with the disc.
