Re: 39 people found dead in lorry

We have reports like this one every year or so, only the conditions are the opposite; people are stuffed into trucks or containers in the searing heat with no ventilation, trying to cross the U.S./Mexcian border.

The easiest option .
Obviously he didn’t kill them but they need to get information from him .

It is entirely possible the driver who collected the thing had absolutely no knowledge that there were corpses inside the load he had just picked up.
Telegraph, today, is saying that there are only enough tracking people to check, about, 1 in every 400 containers.

Some ports are very tight - some not at all.

They also indicate strong links with the Irish Mobs, hinting that this is their source of income.

The link to all the recent discussions , on the various Brexit Borders with NI is worth more attention.

Driven 2 miles down the road to Greys and stopped on a street at 1am on an Industrial estate(I live 4 miles away)

I THINK the driver parked up and opened the doors to let them out and then called an ambulance.
DT says that the driver opened to rear door to get at the paperwork, which would be on the doors.

The odour coming out of there must have been overwhelming.

However, if he could open the doors, he should have been capable of checking the health of the occupants much earlier..

But then, mustn't speculate!

Not at -25 centigrade.

Much earlier? He had just picked up the trailer.

They should blame Zeebrugger , because they must have been missed there too . So who are the murderers ?
The authorities have to take some of the responsibility for this, but there could be an outfit working at Zeebrugger, just like the smuggling through ports in Africa where lots of backhanders are involved for the ivory trade passage.

That's where my suggestion of x-raying of all commercial vehicles would solve the problem.

Re: 39 people found dead in lorry

The below was coped off a Facebook page of my local area.

"This is how close we live to Purfleet Terminal. Literally at the entrance. We have seen hundreds and hundreds of illegals over the past 10 years. Jumping out of trailers, asking for directions to station, huddled around the phone box, walking up our road, asking for clothing or water etc etc. Passports littering the gardens and not a single person from Police or local authorities-have wanted anything to do with it. Hoping they’ll just move on. Just blindly ignored us residents. We know there are some living in holding houses locally and factories, car washes , etc. Etc. No one has been willing to do anything for years. Women have been approached inappropriately while walking or waiting at bus stops. Purfleet has been a magnet for people trafficking for a very long time. This sad incident was only a matter of time. Nothing else to say really........"
