Anyone have a song stuck in her head that won't go away at the present? Mine is the Beatles "Blackbird" .....

Re: Earworms?

It's things with a good beat that tend to get in there and won't go away.... Lindisfarne's Lady Eleanor is one of the worst...keep humming it.... maybe it will displace Blackbird!

Re: Earworms?

I get this a lot because of doing musicals with kids. (OK - you try rehearsing Annie and staying sane)
What you do is - you find another song (not a `catchy` one), and every time the annoying one starts up in your head, you deliberately think of the other one. It works - don`t ask me why.

Lol at that, Claire! A buddy of mine lived next door to a house with children, and the little girl was forever singing Tomorrow! Drove him mad ...could not get it out of his head! He's since moved .....

I know a song that'll get on your nerves,
Get on your nerves, get on your nerves.
I know a song that'll get on your nerves
And it goes something like this:

I know a song that'll get on your nerves,
Get on your nerves, get on your nerves.
I know a song that'll get on your nerves
And it goes something like this:

I know a song that'll get on your nerves,

Re: Earworms?

Nah - try the MADNESS musical, Our House. Did you know that all Madness songs have the same beat, key, melody....
It`s probably where the name comes from.
All togther now......

"Lloyd George knew my father,
Father knew Lloyd George
Lloyd George knew my father,
Father knew Lloyd George
Lloyd George knew my father,
Father knew Lloyd George
Lloyd George knew my father,
Father knew Lloyd George
Lloyd George knew my father,
Father knew Lloyd George
Lloyd George knew my father,
Father knew Lloyd George"
