I can't take painkillers through stomach trouble, still can't and I've been taking Omeprazole for to many years to count.

May I ask what your stomach trouble is Gabi?
I believe Omeprazole lines my stomach but it is also used for Acid Reflux.

Re: How to live with body pain when you're afraid of taking meds?

I take omeprazole every day as well, but it's just for heartburn, nothing severe.

I think most of my problems stem from going through menopause, since they can't find anything else wrong with me, so I'm just going to ride it out and hope all this crap eventually goes away, or at least slows down. Some days I move okay and other days I can barely get out of bed. My last period was the first week of August (and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they DON'T come back) and the hot flushes are lessening. I still have occasional moments of feeling a general all-over sensation of warmth, but it's not the "from 0 to 3000 degrees in 5 seconds" thing anymore. So I'm hoping everything else calms down as well, especially the heart palpitations. They're driving me crazy.
