I left B/stoke in 77 for Hong Kong but by then they were already expanding and wrecking B/stoke - they of course had to cope with the London overspill but a horrendous example of bad design and planning I've never seen and the spoiling of a nice country town in the process [and very historic too].

My happy memories of B/stoke were between 1965 and my leaving. I love your style of limerick writing I started off in the same way and style and then found I could expand more and more - I now have a few hundred stashed away - romantic - banal -quirky - family - whatever comes to mind - got it from me Da!

There are a lot of extinct closet Ozzie Poets, antipodean "Bards", whatever next?
