I had this idea to (try to) paint an image of my mother's childhood home along with her beloved dogs in a somewhat primitive style. It's still incomplete (a couple of perspective and detail issues), but time has run out before I drive back to Florida. Oil on stretched canvas 30"X40".
Thank you both! Longdogs, the highlights are much more vivid than the photosharing indicates, but you get the idea. . I wanted something casual for her breakfast nook.
It's lovely .... there's not many pictures that actually make you want to stroll inside them but yours does as it's captured the atmosphere. How idyllic looking.
Your trees are wonderful, especially the foliage (plus cheeky little squirrel) and I love the dappled shade from the trees.

I get it SM. We have a couple of Beryl Cook prints about the house. I like the simplicity.
