Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Last two days have been grey here - think we are in the clouds! Put the washing out yesterday but that was a waste of time so haven't bothered today.

Grandson is here but somehow has managed to be "locked out" from his schoolwork, so no lessons today. He says he's emailed his teacher but I am worried that something should be done about it. Will leave it in his Mum's capable hands when she comes to pick him up. He's still welded to the laptop!

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Went to Llandrindod this morning to Aldi first and then Tesco. Unfortunately mislaid my shopping list betweeen the two shops so have come home without a few odds and ends, so have had to start a new list immediately!

Horrid wet day here and I was surprised when the car alerted me to the fact that the temperature was down to 3 degrees - an ice warning!

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Just back from getting my second jab. All Rob's carers had theirs at the weekend and have been regaling me with stories of how bad they have felt afterwards - Headaches, sore arms, etc. etc. I've warned the girl who is on duty tonight that if I don't appear tomorrow morning she'll know the reason why!

Sun shine back this morning.
Right side car indicator not working,it's been playing up for a while.Had to open the window and stick my arm out when I wanted to turn right!Called in the garage on way back from shopping, the stick switch needs replacing. It's going in on Monday-£170 outlay.
Good news re your 2nd jab Sue.How many weeks between the 1st and 2nd?

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Had the first one on 18th January Rhosyn, so that's about 6/7 weeks I think. No symptoms whatsoever so far today - do you think I might have had a placedbo - twice? Went into Hay to pick Rob's meds up - three bags now, they have to send one of the staff out with me to carry it all to the car it's so heavy! Picked up the grandson - his Mum is home but lambing has started and they are busy re-arranging the barn to act as a maternity ward.

Oh dear Jac, you are in the wars. Take more water with it!

Shot down to town this morning for a few odds and ends and back in time for the plumber. He finally arrived here at 3.30 pm - to install the new washing machine. The old one is still working but the noise it makes drives me potty so have bitten the bullet and put the new one in. They reccommend you do an "autoclean" before the first wash. Nothing in the drum and just a little detergent. I swear I only put a couple of teaspoonfuls in and the blessed thing was spewing foam all over the place! Probably won't need to put any detergent in the first wash at this rate.

Made some more sausage rolls, still slightly exploded but better than last week. Took them over to the farm and although it's wall to wall sunshine got really chilled standing talking to my DIL.
