How resourceful you are, Summer! I am a member of a wee craft group and one of our members is keen on up-cycling. She is a fan of Annie Sloan paints and, like you, has achieved great results.
Thanks again everyone..it was fun doing it....Last Tango mention the Return to the Chateaux fan club to your friend....it's on Facebook I'm sure she would love some of the ideas on there.
I thought I would share my latest bit of frivolity.... I know it won't appeal to everyone so I won't be offended if you hate it .... honest
Most people know I never buy anything new apart from soft furnishing ... the mirror was a junkyard find years ago it was originally a dark beaten up frame so rubbed it down and gave it the treatment Now its white with a flower top... a bit too girly for most I suspect...but I like it.
The chest of drawers was in my garage for about ten years storing gardening equipment ... its the second set I have given this chalk paint and new little knobs treatment I think I posted the other one here a while ago ... this one is smaller. Inspired by Escape to the Chateau
I see class and taste there,Summer....absolutely beautiful!...
Yes Annie the original chest didn't have a glass top but I had glass for this chest and two other smaller matching ones cut at a local glass cutters.... it made sense because the matte furniture paint I used would not have been a resilient surface for the tops....glad you like it....thank you.
