Re: Latest Project

You have done a brilliant job summer. A lovely 'flat' finish, which I like. I like the girly bits too.

How resourceful you are, Summer! I am a member of a wee craft group and one of our members is keen on up-cycling. She is a fan of Annie Sloan paints and, like you, has achieved great results.

The chest of drawers was in my garage for about ten years storing gardening equipment ... its the second set I have given this chalk paint and new little knobs treatment I think I posted the other one here a while ago ... this one is smaller. Inspired by Escape to the Chateau

I see class and taste there,Summer....absolutely beautiful!...

It's a lovely job Summer. Is that a glass top on the chest of drawers? I love your wooden room doors too.

Re: Latest Project

Thank you Pauline

Yes Annie the original chest didn't have a glass top but I had glass for this chest and two other smaller matching ones cut at a local glass cutters.... it made sense because the matte furniture paint I used would not have been a resilient surface for the tops....glad you like it....thank you.

I think that's absolutely beautiful summer.

I would worry a bit about dust collecting on the flowers though. Do you hoover them?
