Yesterday

I joined the gym up the road-some time mid afternoon. This morning I was there at 06.30. It`s been over 4 years since I was in a gym and it is a hard road(but it will get easier).

Somethings never change though-the stench of cheap spray cans intended to give a man `sex appeal`-men listen, they stink and probably ruin all the work you have done when you have to breath in toxic fumes.

Well Meg it`s cheap but the pool is shared with the school next door and a swimming club so the only time to get a gym+swim is between 06.30 and 08.00 weekdays and term time.

I completely understand what you mean. That's why I go at 7 am. You get peace to swim without children throwing floats about

Sometimes it feels an effort to go, but you feel so much better after it. Enjoy

Thank goodness for my Ladies Only gym, I go in at 8.15, I thought I was an early bird! I really enjoy it but when I belonged to a much bigger gym that was available to everyone, there were some strange whiffs around!

I perhaps should mention one reason it is so cheap? Bleeding lockers-20p non return. I was used to free lockers and take your own padlock. 20p may not sound a lot but it`s 40p to use the gym and then the pool. That`s £2.80 a week assuming I only go once a day. The offer I got on one year membership was under a fiver a week so locker 20ps must add up??
