If I recall correctly people used to have "chicken pox parties" for kids as it was believed that getting it at an early age would save problems later on.
Having just checked I see I was right:
I donīt think I like the idea and I canīt really see the point of it because in children of school age most of them get it due to the 3 week (I think it is) incubation period.
It doesn't always work anyway. When my brother and sister both had C/pox mother made all three of us share a bedroom. I didn't catch it - have still never had it - so I am spraying all Julie's posts with with that antiseptic hand wash stuff !

Sorry to hear that, best stock up on calomine lotion or whatever is best for itching these days. The spots are so irritating for them especially when trying to sleep.
Hope they still enjoy their Christmas.
