If I recall correctly people used to have "chicken pox parties" for kids as it was believed that getting it at an early age would save problems later on.Having just checked I see I was right:

I donīt think I like the idea and I canīt really see the point of it because in children of school age most of them get it due to the 3 week (I think it is) incubation period.
