The daily telegraph reports that Downing street has not deniedthe reports, and stated that the PM is determined to make UK
shipbuilding nation again, and suggests that such a project would
act as en advert for THE NEW GLOBAL BRITAIN. ??
And would provide work and skills development for the UK !!!
So it seems Swimmy is right ?
This is all prompted by Boris with the assistance of a few other
mad Tories ??
Nobody has mentioned the queen being involved in this yet ,
Shouldn't she at least express her desire for such a yacht ???
On the global Britain issue, haven't we just despatched a bloody
great air craft carrier and accompanying flotilla on a mission to
do just this ??

Do you think that every little bit of carp that gets suggested should have resources wasted on it just to deny what's been said when we all know that such denials often only add further fuel to these baseless speculations?
Like everybody else you're entitled to your opinion DM but the unalterable in this instance is that the whole thing so far at least is pure conjecture.
It's a story and nothing more than that.

Royal supporters are still agitating and motivating to build theproposed new £200 million ( hopefully?) yacht !!
The boss of Harland and Wolfe has said work could start tomorrow
at the companies appledore yard in the West country if they receive
the go ahead ?
I bet they could, because the yard looks absolutely empty at the moment ! Of course he comes out with the usual platitudes about
reviving British ship building and creating skills blah! blah!
We have a need for more patrol vessels if the past two weeks is
anything to go by, why don't they create our skills building them ??
apparently the project has attracted more support within the Tory
party?? Even if they keep to the projected cost, it is pointless, but
history tells us to expect an inflation of at least 80% or probably
treble due to the fact it is ROYAL !!
