Wonder whaat's happened?
Hope they didn't have a hacker stealing all our details.

Did anyone else have the email last week about making sure our ID passwords are secure?
The site is working OK now .....

Yes, I received that email last week, too, and will change my password soon .....

I still can't understand the need for the hassle of going online to order a repeat prescription. Our pharmacy asks you when you pick up your prescription.

Maybe you need to change your pharmacy. I have 5 items in my prescription and never had any mistakes. It is not made up locally but in a hub at Warrington about 350 miles away. It comes in a sealed plastic packet with the next collection date printed on the label.

I order our prescriptions online, that way it goes direct to the pharmacy, from the doctor who authorises it, and they deliver it to me within two days. That means I do not have to go out fetch it.

Ah..I see, that's convenient for you then. I've had groceries delivered since March so I do not go to the main shopping street now.

I don't find it hassle, Scot, it only takes a few minutes.
I know what you mean about the pharmacist asking, because ours tears off part of the prescription and we can tick off what we want next time.
However, I can't think a month in advance , so I find it easier to wait till a few days before I need anything to order it then.
Sometimes I find that I have enough eye drops for example, so I can miss them off the request.

The site isn't just for prescription ordering either. You can do other things too, like see your medical records, although I am convinced they only put down what they want you to see.
You can sometimes see who works when, and the nurses, and NHS symptoms information, opening hours, and info about their patient meetings group, and probably more things that I'm not particularly interested in.

Ah, I am glad you said that Omah, because it did cross my mind whether it was genuine.

Re: NHS Patient Access Site Down ?

I walk down to the surgery and pop my prescription in the box. Two days later I walk down to the chemist and pick up my meds.....Keeps me fit, the walk probably does me more good than the tablets.....
