Confidentiality only works as it should when everybody with access to confidential records follows applicable rules. I believe police have to register any access to personal records held by them. Many of these people are not bothered by that, for whatever are their ulterior motives. There are ways round all rules, adverse human behaviour is the problem!

Re: NHS records will be shared

I've been looking into this whole thing, and it seems to me most data, the important stuff, is shared already: hospital records. It's just those little bits we might mention to our GP that don't lead to specialist consultations. Personally, I can't think of anything my GP knows about me that is not already common knowledge.

So I'm alright jack. No domestic violence, erectile dysfunction, nothing to keep hush hush.

I still see no problem with this. None at all.

Too many hackers, and NHS,not exactly known for using the best security!
Government and tech companies, have enough ways of tracking anything, and everything about us,without us giving anything else!

If actually reading the wording, it doesn't actually say that any information wont be shared in the future, only at the present time!
And no, im not paranoid, well, starting to think everyone is looking at me! Lol. Must be my imagination! Lol Omg,theres that veichle with tinted windows again! Im sure its been following me! Lol Black ops,FBI,CIA,MI5?

Oops,no,its an ambulance!

New NHS patient data store delayed by two months

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-57400902

The creation of a central NHS digital database from GP records in England will be delayed by two months, the government has announced.

The system was due to begin on 1 July, but the date has now been pushed back to 1 September.

The NHS had been calling for a delay to allow patients more time to learn about the system.

The British Medical Association and the Royal College of GPs had also expressed concern.
That's more time to get more people to opt out .....

I just had thought....what if so many people opted out, that they had no data to share! (sorry, sell)That would amuse me, but I imagine they would find another way to harvest us, if not that.
