The Rosetta Stone
OK, so a couple of soldiers - french, I think - find this chunk of stone somewhere in Egypt in the 1700s. It is covered in strange carvings - part ancient Greek and part Hieroglyphs.
"Experts" claim to have translated it - and it is used as a bedrock for translations of almost everything that followed.
But - what if they were wrong?
What if it were nothing more than an ancient 'Banksie' having a laugh?
Wouldn't that throw a very large spanner into academic works?
