A day out in Devon

Just a couple of 'snaps' from our day out in Beer. Myself and the light of my life, my lovely granddaughter

I always thought the T-shirt 'If I'd Known Grandchildren Were So Much Fun I Would Have Had Them First' was a bit silly ... but now I understand it

What a lovely day out that must have been DM, did your granddaughter manage to dip her little tootsies in the sea?

You soon get hooked into the Nana mode, don't you?

She did dip her toes Mags - or rather I held her and dipped them in. She was less than impressed and then quickly withdrew her dangling tootsies any time it seemed her wicked Nanna was about to put them in the cold stuff again

Ir was really warm when the sun shone, and of course the water sparkled and made everything look good

It's a pretty little vilage - I don't remember the last time I was there

Children are lovely at that stage, every new thing is a wonder to them

The beach backs back memories, I used to take my stepson there for a picnic at weekends. He went to school near there at Allhallows which I think has gone now.

We have had some lovely days in Beer when in Devon years ago, and your pics brought it all back to me. Looks like you had a smashing time yourself Hilary, thanks for sharing with us...
