Re: TV licenses and the over 75s

Mum has dementia and has lost the ability to even think about turning on her Tv or radio. If there is a programme on which I think she would like, say a nature programme or a football match or athletics then I ring the care home and they put it on for her.

She hates the TV being on if she is not interested in it and doesn’t like constant TV, she never has.

Thanks for the advice about a Firestick but I don’t think it’s appropriate for us.

Of course. It's a completely free choice.

Football! Your mum likes football?

She has always been a big football fan! i used to live near a lady in her late 90s who was a massive snooker fan. Nothing odd about liking sport.

No, not odd. Just a little unusual.

Re: TV licenses and the over 75s

My letter arrived this morning.

Will read it after a while.

It does allow us to pay monthly (so if we pop off in a couple of months they'll be happy)

Hi

I am not yet 70 and had my reminder today.

It was in Welsh first, English second.

They have not updated my Postcode.

I had a reminder this morning to renew the TV licence I cancelled in May.

Well they can go and f*** themselves.
