Photography Fun

Image overlay ...

Up & coming parts of Shepherds Bush with little gardens on the street corners, are getting looked after by volunteers. And everything is getting named. I took pics of two names at the base of trees, then merged the two together. Looks a mess but the real this is quite pretty and it was fun personal project of the day.

Exposure Bracketing ...

And here's an image from my visit to the same spot last week. This was done by setting the camera to take 7 shots, all within a second or two: one 'normal' exposure, three underdone, three overdone. I select two, one slightly underexpose to show the sky a little darker deep blue, and one slightly underexposed to lift the shadows in the rest of the picture. Not perfect but again, fun personal project of the day.

Re: Photography Fun

Re: Exposure Bracketing ... I probably would have got the same or similar result by using the camera HDR (high dynamic range) setting, and got a result in seconds, but I forgot to try that whilst there.

Great shots d00d. I'm assuming that after you choose the two best shots, you merge them together? (shuttering)

Oh did I forget to mention ...

It's not like double exposure or, the abovementioned Image Overlay, but something more painstaking.

Yes I can imagine. It must be difficult to get the 'fit' exactly the same each time.

Great shots d00d. Nice blending of the photos - crisp, clear and in focus.
