You know when you have retired when:-

You have several pairs of reading glasses all around your home.
You walk more - through choice.
Your car is always clean and polished
Your garden is the best in the street
You are easily annoyed and have less tolerance
You object to planning applications
You complain more usually in writing!
You never wear a watch
You never wear a tie
You have a drink during the day you’re not going anywhere.
You sometimes read a daily paper
You notice clouds and the colour of leaves
You start feeding birds in your garden
You mend things rather than just buying replacements
You know the names of the news correspondents and weather presenters: Hugh Pym, Betsan Powys etc Louise Lear….Why oh WHY?
You get up earlier and go to bed earlier
You go to B&Q on Wednesdays for the 10% discount and never go there at weekends!
You dread the school holidays - children should be seen and not heard and preferably, not seen.
You shop at Waitrose
You hate and avoid noise
You don’t like the weekends – you can’t go anywhere, its too crowded.
Your house always needs something doing to it. Never ending list of “jobs”
You stop going to football matches.
You buy fewer clothes and they last for years
You eat your dinner at lunchtime

Plus you have lots of your glasses around the house because if they are
not on a cord around your neck you can never find them.
Good list of "know" Elbee but luckily for me haven't managed to
do all of them yet.

Oh dear, I can relate to some of those and I haven't even retired yet Perhaps I'm in pre-retirement mode

Or they slip out of your shirt pocket and end up in a storage bin of perlite, and you then spend a frantic hour or so wondering where the heck they got to!

Well I have to say that I thought I had retired but not according to that list.There are a few that apply like avoiding school holidays but the rest I have either never done or always done.

I think this list is better:
