Re: Yoga

For those who enjoy it G-d Bless. I tried a series of classes and absolutely not for me. The poses hurt like heck and no I do not want to deep breathe and go into my own head...dark scary place in there

For me a more restful happy meditation is a brisk many mile hike. Work up a good sweat, clear your head, and feel drained yet relaxed. Good for me and good for the dogs, win/win

Totally agree about the walking Opheila. De-stresses you and makes you feel good.

Re: Yoga

Yes, walking somewhere nice is certainly healthy and enjoyable Moyra.

BTW, there is Yoga and Yoga. I have always found the English people teach very different yoga to the Hindu people. I prefer the hindu. Try a different tutor before you give up on the idea.

Re: Yoga

I love yoga and try to have a yoga session a week or everyday other day when I am off work.
Sometimes I do a 20 minutes session others a 45 minutes.

Same here Mei. I do an hour session on Mondays and another 1 & half hours on Wednesdays.
I have also not long started Tai Chi but not sure if that's for me or not yet.

Re: Yoga

I did Tai Chi in the past which I love too. But yoga makes my back and spine feel instantly good and stretched out, and it is pretty mind relaxing too. Perfect for me to distress after a long day at work.

Re: Yoga

I'm not personally mad about it but can highly recommend yoga. I do see some elements in a fitness
class which I go to but did find a whole yoga class a bit of an endurance.

But (breaks vow to ancestors and starts sentence with 'but') it is good stuff and does a whole body work-out.

Re: Yoga

I agree, Devon. I have taken on an extra class now, so now go 3 times a week instead of twice. I love it.
