Don't take it so seriously....it's just a group of people sharing opinions....no big deal.

To Post or not to Post, that is the question.

Re: Taking a break from social media

I've never left a forum, I still keep on posting, but I don't get involve in a lot of things, especially Politics, to me its just chatting with a few friends at the end of the day, I quite like it.

It used to be all the social media there was, years ago, but they moved the goalposts many years ago and the term changed. It's still social media though.

Texts from the Dr go to my wife's phone. Friends & Family get hold of my via email which I sort out at home in my office.

When it gets on your nerves take a break.
And never take the internet on holiday!

Re: Taking a break from social media

I'm just back from an extended break I had to step back and sort out family problems. I missed you all even those I don't get on so well with. I think it depends why you use forums, I use a few this is the only one I consider people my friends on, the others are just opinions and imparting knowledge and experience. I didn't miss them half as much as I missed you all.

Would I do it again ? yes if my family needs me more. I take little breaks of a week at a time four times a year and all the weekends from easter to now, so I know I do have a real life away from the internet, which is reassuring.
